In the Spotlight - National Reference Center in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology

The National Reference Center in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology is part of the Peruvian National Institute of Children Health and is located in Breña, nearby the center of Lima.

Our staff is conformed by 5 allergist and immunologist and completed by scientists dedicated to our laboratory section of Immunodiagnosis. Our mission is to provide the best possible care through multidisciplinary care and research for allergy and chronic urticaria patients. The immune characterization of chronic urticaria patients and the basophil activation test as a tool to measure disease activity and response of treatment are part of our focus of research. Integrating with the urticaria patients association is our priority and for the next Urticaria´s day we are planning meetings with them and visit some local radios together to increase awareness and knowledge of urticaria to the community.
