In this episode of the “All Things Urticaria”-podcast, Dr Ana Gimenez discusses new insights into the pathology of chronic urticaria and how these insights can help guide treatment decisions. Dr Gimenez discusses the inflammatory mediators relevant in chronic urticaria, with a particular focus on platelet-activating factor (PAF). She describes the role of PAF, its contribution to the development of signs and symptoms of chronic urticaria, and why she considers PAF an important consideration in chronic spontaneous urticaria.
